Sat 11/7/09 - 34 x 25 x 36 (Jesse Epstein | Brooklyn, NY) For some, perfection on the job means achieving an unrealistic perfection of beauty. This lively and spooky documentary tour of the Patina V Mannequin Factory in Industry City, CA, shows how our perception of the “ideal” female form has been manufactured. Sat 11/21/09 - Carlin (Brent Green | Schuylkill Haven, PA) " My Aunt Carlin moved in with us when I was a kid. She had diabetes and really wanted to die. She didn't think she'd ever die. I was pretty sure she would." Carlin was shot stop-motion, with life-sized wooden characters and taxidermied chickens, in the farmhouse Brent Green grew up in. The screening will include a live musical performance by Brent accompanying the film. Sat 12/5/09 - Bronx Princess (Yoni Brook & Musa Syeed | Bronx ) Bronx Princess follows headstrong 17-year-old Rocky's journey as she leaves behind her mother in New York City to reunite with her father, a chief in Ghana.
