After eight great weeks of free films, live music and entertainment, Epix Movie Free-For-All will be hosting its last two weeks of these unforgettable events. But don’t bring out the tissue boxes just yet. On Wednesday night, in collaboration with the Museum of the Moving Image, Epix brings all of us something akin to those cozy summer nights in the backyard having a potluck with our closest friends–except this backyard is Socrates Sculpture Park where we’ll be watching films on a giant screen, and as for the potluck goes: homemade pie. The Backyard Band/with Silent Film Festival (“Backyard Band/with” for short) is a unique combination of silent films accompanied by original scores, all created and performed live by local musicians. It will be music for the ears and eyes, and food for the soul and stomach. As usual, the event is free–just don’t forget to flaunt your homemade pies to the public!
