Sign up to sing Bieber: Never Say Never next Monday in Coney Island with a Karaoke Contest!

I know, I know this is pretty exciting stuff but you really need to calm down so I can tell you the details about the screening…

So, as we all know EPIX has been showing all our favorite movies all summer, all over the city and best of all it’s all been free, but this Monday, EPIX is stepping things up a notch and bringing Bieber mania to Coney Island; I hope Nathan’s Hot Dogs is prepared for what’s about to hit it – seriously, them fans be crazy. Never Say Never is being screened once again with help from  Verizon Fios and Coney Island Flicks on the Beach and it is sure to be another memorable movie night.

One part concert movie and one part musical biography, Never Say Never follows teen pop prince Justin Bieber as he navigates the mind-blowing world of sold-out shows and screaming fans. Including intimate home movies from his childhood and larger-than-life concert footage, the inspirational story has a simple message: don’t let anyone talk you out of following your dreams. Careful, this movie just might make you a Belieber.

The screening kicks off at 7pm with some pre-movie music provided by our DJ, Bill Pearis (we’ve been told he’ll have some JB on hand to get you all in the mood, so fear not). Then at 8, we will have a Justin Bieber Karaoke Contest on the beach!!! If you want to signup to sing, email Kristin Molloy at kristin@rooftopfilms.com and let her know what song you want to sing.

Rooftop will also be presenting a short film at 8.30pm prior to the feature so make sure you come early! This time we’ll be showing Coney Island, 1945, a dreamlike pseudo-documentary wherein a man remembers his childhood in Coney Island.

EPIX having screened tons of amazing flicks on the beach this summer as part of the eclectic EPIX Movie Free-For-All program, next week the program will sadly come to an end but not without one last hoorah in the shape of the fantastic dance movie How She Move.
