‘Brooklyn Reconstructed’ Film Series Begins!

We Rooftoppers love Brooklyn and we’re not afraid to show it. Who also loves Brooklyn? The new monthly series presented by FIlmwax entitled Brooklyn Reconstructed. The series hosts films that each take an in depth look at the ongoing changes occurring in our beloved borough–from rising rents to gentrification and more. First up in the series is a documentary entitled My Brooklyn, screening this Wednesday July 25 7:00 PM at the Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture located at 53 Prospect Park West. Following the screening, a panel of activists, scholars, and community leaders will open up discussion about the issues addressed in the film. In a place this great, its hard not to fight for it. Join the fight… come see My Brooklyn.

Also tune into Filmwax’s radio interview with the filmmakers of Patron Saints, the documentary we’ll be screening next Saturday August 4, 8:00 PM at the Old American Can Factory.
