STRENGTH IN NUMBERS
As Rooftop Films enters our 13th season, we face a difficult challenge. With our 2009 Summer Series nearly underway, we must overcome a severe deficit brought about by the current economic climate and the cutbacks it has forced several of our sponsors and funders to make.
Rooftop is a non-profit organization, which means we rely on support from the public to operate. Right now that support is very hard to come by. Rooftop aims to present our 13th season as we intended it—with 44 nights of incredible films in incredible locations—but even as we reach out to new funders and cut all but our most vital expenses, these steps only take us so far. This is where you come in.
You are reading this because, in one way or another, you are already a part of the Rooftop community. Whether you have donated to Rooftop before, have shown a film or attended a screening, or have only read about us, you are a part of the engine that keeps Rooftop going. So in the spirit of community that Rooftop holds at the center of its mission, we are now turning to you to help us find strength in numbers.
This campaign is not about numbers of dollars; it’s about numbers of people. Whatever the amount you can spare, we simply hope you will add your name to the list of those who believe that Rooftop’s work is valuable, and then ask your peers to do the same.

Rooftop Films is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization. Contributions in behalf of Rooftop Films may be made payable to Fractured Atlas. The value of complimentary tickets is $9 per ticket. Any contribution above that amount is tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
