California Dreams

Mike Ott | U.S.A. | 83

From acclaimed director Mike Ott (LAKE LOS ANGELES, ACTOR MARTINEZ) comes the new comedy documentary feature CALIFORNIA DREAMS, presenting five unique individuals in pursuit of a big life change. Through auditions set up in small towns across Southern California, the film shows genuine characters with big Hollywood aspirations who, for various reasons, have never had the opportunity to pursue their dreams. With subjects including celebrity impersonators, aspiring writers, and a former nurse, this bitingly funny film reveals the strange and entrancing hypnotic grip that Hollywood has, in some way or form, on everyone.

Sean Nicholas Savage

Sean Nicholas Savage (born 30 May 1986) is a Canadian singer-songwriter and musician, who is an influential member of the Arbutus Records and Canadian indie music scene. He has been described by Emilie Friedlander in an article for The Fader as "a singer-songwriter, madcap philosopher, and all-around scene-pillar in the particular freak-flag-flying sector of the Canadian music community surrounding folks like Grimes, Mac DeMarco, TOPS and Doldrums." He is known for his prolific output, poetic lyrics and varied musical style. Sean Nicholas has released exclusively on Arbutus Records, and was one of the first artists to join the label after its inception in 2009.
