Rooftop Films has been putting on film and music screenings
indoors and outdoors all over New York since 1997 and
we have always been proud of our commitment to quality
presentation. We have upgraded our equipment every year
and now have a great selection of video and audio equipment
available for rent and a number of trained professional
technicians who can help you select the best equipment
and/or set up for your events. All of the AV (Audio Visual)
equipment we have for rent has been used at Rooftop Summer Series
programs, and if you have ever been to a Rooftop screening you know
that we run a good show and always make sure to use reliable,
quality equipment. We also offer delivery and set up and
assistance by professional technicians within New York
City. The Equipment
The most cost-effective way to rent equipment from Rooftop is to rent a discount package. All packages include any peripherals, cables and adaptors you might need, usually at no additional cost. Any package can easily be tailored to fit your needs, but you can use the ones listed below as a guide. All prices are negotiable and subject to change.

Why rent from Rooftop Films? All proceeds go
to sustain the Rooftop organization, helping us to
bring great new films to big audiences, indoors and
out, all over North America.
Why are Rooftop's rental rates so much lower than
standard rental houses? Rooftop doesn't buy equipment
just to rent it like a typical rental house, so we
can
charge less. We have shows all the time, so we need
to own the equipment, but when we aren't using it
we
don't want it to sit idle in storage. So we rent it
at reduced rates to make a little money for our organization
and to help like-minded artists with their events.

+ Payments can be made via credit card, check or cash.
+ Rooftop Films is committed to helping small arts groups,
particularly microcinemas and small film exhibitors.
This is why we offer discounted rates for artists and
non-profit arts organizations. Unfortunately, our resources
are limited so we can not always offer as big a discount
as we would like to. Please call if you need to discuss
the possibility of additional discounts.
+ All prices are negotiable and subject to change. If
you have any questions, please call us and we would
be glad to talk about our equipment and policies.
+ Equipment can be picked up and dropped off from our
offices at 232 3rd Street in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
+ Delivery, pick-up and technical assistance are available
in the New York City area for an additional fee. Rates
vary.
+ Some packages require a cash or credit card deposit
which will be refunded immediately upon return of equipment.
How do I reserve the equipment? Once you pay for a rental, Rooftop Films will reserve your equipment for you. Should you choose to cancel your rental after paying for it, Rooftop will charge a 15% processing fee and refund the rest. If you cancel a rental less than 24 hours before a rental that has already been reserved, Rooftop will charge a 30% fee and refund the rest.
+ Please note: A 15% late fee will be charged if the payment is not received within 30 days, with an additional fee of $5 per day after that.
