Dance Party, USA
Dance Party, USA tells the story of Jessica and Gus, two apathetic teenagers, drifting aimlessly from one day to the next until they meet each other. Gus is attractive and popular, but also a habitual liar and braggart. Jessica is standoffish and distrustful, and is reluctant to believe Gus is capable of being honest and faithful. Gradually they make a tenuous and fleeting connection after Gus confides in Jessica about his dark past.

"I wish everyone who hyped Funny Ha Ha, or even saw it and liked it, would get a chance to see Aaron Katz's remarkable film Dance Party, USA. Katz creates a film so emotionally resonant, so heartbreaking yet hopeful, so tender yet intense, so realistic yet ethereal that it mesmerizes the viewer and holds their attention rapt....Dance Party, USA might very well be the best independent film that I will see all year. If you are somehow fortunate enough to have a chance to see it, do not hesitate. What your will be seeing is the future. Or at least the hope of it.
