IFP Is Looking for the Next Great Storytellers

Rooftop partner IFP is on the hunt for first-time filmmakers with feature length films currently in post-production to participate in this year’s Independent Filmmaker Labs.

IFP’s unique year-long mentorship program supports first-time feature directors when they need it most:  through the completion, marketing and distribution of their films.  Focusing exclusively on low-budget features (<$1million), this highly immersive program provides filmmakers with the technical, creative and strategic tools necessary to launch their films – and their careers.

Through the Labs, IFP works to ensure that talented emerging voices receive the support, resources, and industry exposure necessary to reach audiences. The program is open to all first time feature documentary and narrative directors with films in post-production.

Like Rooftop, IFP is a not-for-profit dedicated to supporting independent filmmakers, and their Labs help guide projects through completion, marketing, and distribution. IFP alumni have gone on to premiere at festivals worldwide, including Sundance, SXSW, Venice, Rotterdam, and more.

Want in on the only FREE program in the US of its kind? Visit the Labs website today—deadlines to submit are March 9 for the Documentary Labs and April 6 for the Narrative Labs.
