Emerging Doc editors: The 2014 Karen Schmeer Film Editing Fellowship is now accepting applications

The Karen Schmeer Film Editing Fellowship is now accepting applications for its prestigious award! In partnership with the American Cinema Editors (ACE), the fellowship helps to provide funds to emerging documentary editors and to support their careers as they further their skills and expand their networks. Now in its fourth year, the award honors Karen Schmeer, a renowned editor (Fog of War; Fast, Cheap and Out of Control; Bobby Fischer Against the World) who was tragically killed in 2010 after being struck by a vehicle fleeing a bank robbery that then fled the scene. She was 39.

Submissions are welcome now through September 30, 2013. A winner will be announced in January of 2014. For more details about the application process, please visit www.karenschmeer.com.
