Beyond the Lenses: YouTube for Photographers

On Wednesday October 22nd, YouTube Space NY will be hosting an exciting conversation with talented  artists Thomas Leveritt and Clayton Cubitt. They will be discussing the importance of  sharpening your skills as an artist, using video as a form of storytelling; as well as optimizing YouTube and other social platforms to gain an audience, both domestically and internationally, as a creator of content.

Additionally, both artists will be discussing their  recent projects How the Sun Sees You and Hysterical Literature.

Thomas Leveritt is an independent filmmaker who works in the mediums of paint, film and digital art.  Leveritt was awarded Carroll Medal for Portraiture from the UK’s Royal Society of Portrait Painters and the National Portrait Gallery. His novel The Exchange-Rate Between Love and Money won the Betty Trask Award from the Society of Authors and Somerset Maugham Award.

Clayton Cubitt has worked with Vogue, Rolling Stone, Vibe, Nike, Interscope Records, New York Magazine, and countless other editorial and advertising clients. Cubitt’s work has been viewed over 30 million times.  Additionally, he has worked with artists such as Die Antwoord, Big Freedia, Xiu Xiu, Cocorosie, Stoya, and Nicky Da B.

After the conversation, drinks we will be served. We look forward to seeing you and your friends at this event.
