A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night Hits Theaters November 21st

Not just your average vampire film, A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night is about the loneliness of a young vampire and her interactions with the residents of a small Iranian oil town, Bad City. She stalks around the deserted town at night ridding her adopted town of menaces and villains. She finds a kindred spirit in a young man obsessed with his classic car and his alienation from his drug addicted father.  A sweet love story played out against an expressionistic background and throbbing dance music, the film blends many influences to create a completely original experience.

We loved this film so much that we honored the director, Ana Lily Amirpour, with a grant, Piper-Heidsieck Feature Film Grant, to help complete her next film. We feel that she is one of the most exciting new voice in independent cinema. And we are not alone. She has been featured on New York Times, Filmmaker Magazine and Indiewire.

Her work needs to be seen in order to appreciate just how much a breath of fresh air she truly is. Go and see A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night as often as you can.
