Film Students: Become our next Programming Intern!

Rooftop films seeks a hard working, dedicated individual to be our Fall Programming Intern – if you’re interested in film festival programming, independent film, arts administration, or non-profit management, apply today! Learn what goes in to preparing and running a non-profit film festival, and see tons of great films along the way.

Internships are unpaid, but can be done for school credit. Candidates would be expected to average at least two days a week in the office, but generally the more time you can commit the better.

Programming Intern (1 position)

Candidates should have a love of independent and foreign film, be motivated and detail oriented with an interest in film and programming. Individuals would work closely with the program director and members of the programming team to assist in the pre-screening and rating of film submissions, and would participate in the overall programming process.

We welcome undergraduate and graduate students, but must have film education (production and/or film studies). Candidates must have excellent organizational and communication skills, and an enthusiasm for film criticism and/or curation. This internship is an excellent opportunity to participate in the programming process of Rooftop Films, and a great way to learn the inner workings of a film festival.

Candidates should be web and computer literate, have superior professional and organizational skills, and be able to work at least 20 hours a week with the possibility of more hours.

To apply please send a cover letter, resume and references to program.intern@rooftopfilms.com.
