The film is adapted from Jane Austen’s novella Lady Susan first published in 1871 and takes place in the 18th century, where the seductive and manipulative Lady Susan (Kate Beckinsale) uses devious tactics to win the heart of the eligible Reginald De Courcy (Xavier Samuel). The film also stars Chloë Sevigny and Stephen Fry. Stillman’s book and a soundtrack from the film are also available.
